QTRU WRAP UP – KQPR Week 2 Highlights (Womens)

Have a look at some of the video highlights from how our Queensland Tongan women went in the second week of the Kings and Queens of Pacific Rugby Tournament held at Norths Rugby Union, Brisbane Queensland.

In the first week, our women put up a brave fight before going down against the top two seeds in the women’s side of the competition Queensland Maori and the Indigenous women of the Dreamtime women’s team.

In order to have any chance of progressing to the semi finals this year, Queensland Tonga needed to claim at least two scalps from the Brisbane Fiji. Cook Islands QLD and QLD PNG and hope other results went their way. Brisbane Fiji and Cook Islands QLD easily accounted for the Tongans last year and with National players filling the PNG team it was going to be no easy feat to add the one win they collected from the first week against Queensland Samoa. The second week was going to be a true test of how much our women team has improved from last year.

Have a look at how our female players fared in the second week of the KQPR.
